For Immediate Release

Great Golf, Great Service, GEAR and a Good Night’s Sleep

scenery For Canadians wishing for a “World Class” golf holiday experience, they need to look no further than the incredible Boyne Highlands, Boyne Mountain or Boyne’s extraordinary offering the Bay Harbor Golf Club.

One can never set their expectations high enough at Boyne. All expectations will be exceeded when staying and playing at any of Boyne’s convenient locations.

Let’s break our Boyne 2017 experience down for you so you know exactly what to expect on your visit.

Our drive from Canada was hassle-free once crossing the border into the beautiful state of Michigan. A scenic 4 hour and 30 minute drive from Port Huron and we rolled up to the stately, well landscaped entrance to Northern Michigan’s golfer’s paradise…Boyne Highlands.

Upon entering the well preserved and rustic lobby of the main building, we were greeted by the best and most knowledgeable check-in staff we have encountered in years. They were extremely helpful and showed us how to easily find our way around the vast property with maps, tips and helpful hints. Aside from the obvious experience of the staff we just have to compliment Boyne’s excellent training of their people. Wherever we went on the property during our stay, the same friendly and helpful attitude prevailed with all the Boyne staff.

Our rooms were sparkling clean with comfy robes, complimentary beverages and a top quality personal care selection. Flat screen TV, a great view and a bar fridge to keep things cold were just part of the excellent comfort package. The icing on the cake turned out to be the incredible mattresses and bedding which were sourced through one of the world’s largest providers of a good night’s sleep for weary travellers.

Boyne Golf provides a world-class experience for all golfers regardless of playing ability level. At Boyne one can choose from The Arthur Hills Course, The Donald Ross Memorial Course, The Heather, The Moor Course, The Crooked Tree Course, The Monument Course, The Alpine Course and the 27 hole Bay Harbor Golf Club which is perfectly set along the Lake Michigan shoreline .All the courses are camera worthy.

Golf at any of the Boyne courses is played on perfectly coiffed tees, fairways, greens and bunkers. The finest conditions we have played on in a very long time existed during our stay at Boyne. The groundskeepers are to be commended. We fully understand how incredibly important course conditions are to ensuring the success of such a large resort operation like Boyne .The men and women who have prepared and maintained the Boyne courses this year get A + in our books.

Boyne Golf is not just about playing golf on outstanding golf courses. Boyne is also a great place to learn how to play golf. Ken Griffin our gracious host at Boyne suggested we take a look at their newest golf improvement acquisition called GEAR.

We had no idea what GEAR entailed as we had never heard of it. No wonder since there are only 6 installations of GEAR in North America and as of this writing we are not aware of any installations in Canada. There are 30 GEAR installations world - wide.

GEAR is housed in a separate building and forms part of the wonderful golf teaching facilities at Boyne. Cost of the GEAR equipment is in the several tens of thousands of dollars and is both a golf swing analysing system in addition to a wonderful game improvement program.

GEAR collects data about your golf swing with the aid of computers and specially fitted clothing. With the help of the supervising Golf Professional (in our case Dave McWhorter) GEAR analyses the data and feeds back ways in which you can improve your equipment and your body movements to improve your golf swing.

Want to hit your driver another 30 - 50 yards? Talk with Dave, Depending on your fitness level, The GEAR assessment and the Golf Professional, the Boyne Teaching Centre will provide the answers to getting more enjoyment from your golf game .

We can’t sign off without mentioning the incredible “Great Escape Golf Vacation” that Boyne has championed for more than 30 years. For Canadians there are special weeks during May, August, September and October where stay and play packages at PAR make Boyne an incredible value. Make sure you inquire about at PAR when you call to reserve your time at Boyne.

Boyne earns 5 stars in our books and we look forward to returning again soon.
