One of world renowned golf architect Arthur Hills’ great masterpieces is known as Longaberger Golf Club located just east of Newark Ohio at One Long Drive, Nashport Ohio.
 
For those of you who are looking for a truly breathtaking golf experience then look no further. Longaberger will have you not only talking to yourself but also anyone who will listen about the sheer majestic beauty of one of the USA’s most perfect golf facilities.
 
This is a “BIG” golf course but not intimidating except for the beautiful scenery you will encounter as you tour around your 18 holes. Generous landing areas and huge greens will allow every player to fully enjoy the greatness of the landscape that Art Hills has sculpted from this special piece of earth.
This wonderful place has won countless awards. Among them are: being listed in the “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” by Golf Magazine, rated a Golf Digest 5 Star facility in 2004-2005, ranked in the top 100 Public Access Golf Courses in the USA by Golf Digest and countless others. Zagat Survey (the golf industry’s primary survey organization) has given Longaberger Golf Club a Top rating for guest service and facilities.
 
In addition, this facility has hosted Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf and the 2004 PGA Club Professional Championship among many other prestigious events.
 
A gorgeous fully functional clubhouse with one of the finest pro shops we have seen anywhere beckons you to relax, have a great meal, shop and enjoy the hospitality of the great folks who make Longaberger Golf Club so special.

One of those people is Danny Ackerman PGA, who made our visit so enjoyable. Danny joined Longaberger after many great years at Pinehurst, Longaberger was so fortunate to  be able to hire a truly dedicated pro like Danny. He has all the tools of the world class professionals one would expect to find at a facility like Longaberger Golf Club.
 
Part of our "Longaberger Experience" was staying at the Longaberger Hotel in Newark Ohio. The hotel is called "The Place off The Square" and is a terrific place. The hotel offers a restaurant, indoor pool, complimentary breakfast, high speed internet access and a great location to discover downtown Newark Ohio from. The people at the hotel were so friendly and helpful we felt that we should be taking them on our inspection tours with us just to teach people in the hospitality industry how to treat customers and present the true meaning of customer service. Really excellent staff!!
