Treetops Resort is a multiple award-winning complex long known for exciting and memorable golf. It is perched high above the Pigeon River Valley and offers majestic views of Northern Michigan. Treetop's inventory of four championship courses began back in 1986 when Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed one of his final layouts.

Treetops Michigan
A few years later, Tom Fazio was commissioned to design a more player friendly compliment to Jones's demanding, but spectacular layout. The Tom Fazio Premier is the only Fazio designed course in Michigan.

Rick Smith, the resorts current owner and long time Director of Golf was so inspired by the resort's first two courses, that the late owner Harry Melling commissioned Smith to build Threetops-par 3 course, and then two additional championship courses, (The Signature and Tradition courses).

TreeTops
Threetops is currently home to the annual televised "Par-3 Shootout" featuring players from the PGA Tour and Senior PGA Tour in a modified skins game.

Treetops was home to the very first of the Golf Channel's "Big Break" television shows for many good reasons. Great accommodations, superb meals, golf courses with spectacular views plus staff that provide the ultimate in assistance and charm.
